In addition to the business to be conducted, this meeting will feature storytelling by local churches, dynamic worship and a keynote address by Valarie Kaur, founder of the Revolutionary Love Project.

A number of online hearings and informational sessions will be held prior to the Annual Meeting, to give delegates a chance to learn more about the issues that will be raised and to ask questions. The first is being held Thursday, Oct. 17.

In Memoriam
The Southern New England Conferences have suffered several recent losses:
Ruth Ann Dudley, who nurtured a generation of faith formation leaders while serving on the Connecticut Conference staff.
Rev. Dr. Mary Louise Howson, who served churches in Ridgefield, Bethany, Danbury, and Westport, all in CT, as well as serving in New Jersey and as chaplain at Western Connecticut State University
Rev. Dr. Paul Clark Clayton, who served at Central Congregational Church in Orange; Second Congregational Church in Beverly; and Needham Congregational Church, all in MA.
The Rev. Dr. H. Daehler Hayes, who served as the Rhode Island Conference Minister 1983 to 2002
The Rev. Edwin Ayala, who led Latinx congregations in Connecticut, served on the denomination's national staff, and headed an ecumenical agency in Hartford
