EMERGENCY PLANNING 2.0

Building on the success of our last meeting in May at the Marlborough church, this meeting looks to focus on essential action planning to meet the needs of today’s church.
 
Several years ago, the Conference focused on Safe Church Policies and Procedures. Churches are making good progress. Today the emphasis looks to active shooter and other areas of emergency planning. With your attendance you will receive an electronic copy of key planning areas and draft action plans for your church to build upon. The original Marlborough planning document was a good start. We built upon Marlborough’s draft in May and with this meeting we look to strengthen our understanding and to provide you a template to address your individual church’s needs.
 
The meeting will be joined by Brookfield’s Chiefs of Police, Fire, and EMT. There will be the opportunity to see a demonstration of surveillance technology being evaluated by the Brookfield Congregational in the spirit of “keeping our doors unlocked”. This will be an opportunity share experiences and build on best practices with the interest to keep everyone safe.
 
A light fare of sandwiches, dessert and refreshments will be provided.
