SABBATICAL LEAVE FOR REV. GALLAGHER

Please be aware that the Rev. Kelly Gallagher, Associate Conference Minister for Central Association, will be on sabbatical beginning June 26th and ending on August 31st. Information on who to contact while Kelly is away will be forthcoming. 

Kelly will also be attending General Synod in Milwaukee from Friday, June 21st until Tuesday, June 25th and will be checking emails during this time but might not be able to immediately respond.

OBITUARIES

The Rev. Ms. Denise Anne Karuth died peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019.   Denise is survived by her mother Betty, her sister Linda and brother-in-law Harry Startup of Scottsville, New York, her brother Edward in Rochester, her lifelong companion Fred Pelka in Easthampton, her faithful dog guide Fendi, and her very many other family, friends and admirers. 
Denise was a champion for the rights of people with disabilities, and an internationally recognized figure in the struggle for affordable, accessible mass transit. She will be remembered for her compassion for others, her commitment to justice, and her enduring faith in a loving God.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2019, 11:00am at First Churches of Northampton, 129 Main Street, Northampton, MA.  Contributions in her memory can be made to the Home Sweet Home program at the Stavros Center for Independent Living, 210 Old Farm Road, Amherst, MA 01002; to First Churches of Northampton, 129 Main Street, Northampton, MA 01060, or to The North Hadley Congregational Church, PO Box 695, Hadley, MA 01035.?
