Meeting of RI, MA & CT Boards of Directors Saturday
By The Rev. Barbara Libby
Interim Conference Minister
Your prayers are requested for a gathering of the three Southern New England (RI, MA, & CT) Boards of Directors this Saturday in Woodstock, CT. This gathering will bring together the leadership of our three UCC Conferences to consider a large number of documents that have been put together by the Together As One team. This Together as One Team has been hard at work since the confirming vote on a resolution in Hartford, CT in June, 2017 to “put flesh on the bones” for a New Conference. Many details of this covenantal partnership have come into focus and we anticipate an exciting and energizing conversation about some of these ideas on Saturday.

The focus group sessions are an opportunity for people in the Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island conferences to help envision what a new, unified conference might look like. These sessions will be facilitated by Jim Schnurbusch, of the St. Louis firm OrgStory, who has been engaged as a consultant for this process.
